This is what I've been waiting for.

Ever so patiently, my life is a little bit more exciting now.

MSTRS of the KRFT.

Wow, MSTRKRFT is blowing my mind with their latest effort, Fist Of God. This is a full consistently great album, with a perfect flow and energy in each track. A hard electronic sound, but with some very pleasing and unexpected surprise guests including Freeway, John Legend, Ghostface Killah, E-40, Nore, and Jahmal of The Carps. This album dropped yesterday, and let me say it is perfect. Click below to hear my personal favorite of the songs, Heartbreaker, featuring John Legend. I guess it's fair to say MSTRKRFT vs John Legend is a pure win. Two collaborations to date, and pure brilliance from both.

Roc Da Mic.

Ok, so I know it's expected of me to blog about hip hop. But as of late, I have been focusing on this more conscious, "hipster" type sound, which is wonderful, but do not let it fool you that I don't like that real street shit too. Hahaha. Yeah, I feel like there needs to be a bit of balance, and I like rough gangster rap too. But to me, the real deal right now is coming from Philly. The home of one of my favorite music bands of all time; The Roots, Philadelphia is also home to two particularly excellent rappers. Beanie Sigel & Freeway. Roc-a-fella dudes, big beards, rough voices, and fat bellies. No doubt Mac daddy Beans is a legend, but Freeway also had a huge debut album, with the major production by Just Blaze. That's one of the best rap albums I own. Not to mention last year, he released 31 songs alone in the month of December. And they were good. I dunno I just dig these cats. That hard Philly sound, its just fresh and different. It's not ridiculous radio music, it's strictly rap. Keep an eye out on these brothers. Beans has new material on the way, and Free, he just never stops.

Great Minds.

Oooh now this, is a great little collection we have here. Stussy decided to do a dope tribute to our great thinkers, philosophers, and plain geniuses. Well, with a bit of a twist of course. I really dig this collection, the choices of people they used are perfect, the colors are great, and the little additions to each historical portrait are pretty great. This collection releases today March 21st at Stussy stores, as well as the Stussy Direct online store. I personally will be getting the Thoreau, just because he is the best of the best.

Oooh Wee! A Love SUPREME.

I saw these Vans X Supreme collaboration hopping around the internet earlier this year, and they got my attention quickly. Well they dropped today for online order, and of course I had to buy a pair. As much as I love high tops and mids, this time round I had to go with the classic low top Eras. Guess which color I got. It should'nt be a tough one.

You can't always get what you want.

But I want this. And it's completely impossible to get my hands on.

Sensible

No secret that Mickey Factz is one of my top dudes in the music scene right now. His mixtapes have all been incredible, and I'm sure his debut album will be no less. Mickey recently signed a deal as a Honda spokesmen, and in return released a new track which was supposed to fit in nicely with a new commercial. The track is titled Sensibility. I could care less about the car, but let me say this is my favorite track I have heard in 09. Big words, but I stick with it, for now.
